Hello Makers! Show time is coming up fast! We have some logistics items that we need to share with you, sooo…. attached is the glorious, gorgeous Maker Manual which contains specifics about the faire. Please take 10 minutes to read through the manual (or shorter, if you read fast and comprehend quickly, which I’m sure you do!) so you can get familiar with the operations of the faire. Here are important highlights!

LOAD IN is on Maker Day! Maker Day is a great time to respectfully meet your fellow Makers as you are setting up. Note your specific Group load in time (see what group you’re in by checking the document attached to this email):
Group 1: 2pm – 4pm
Group 2: 4pm – 6pm
Group 3: 6pm – 8pm
If you cannot set-up during your designated time, please contact me (Anne@MakerBoulder.com or 720-412-9013 to make other arrangements).
Please be sure to have your Maker Load-In pass displayed in order to get into the Check-In area (see map for directions).
Maker Happy HOUR! After load-in, join us at TinkerMill for a Maker Meet and Greet Happy Hour and Hopefully Dance Party… I might be the only one hoping for a dance party. You’ll be getting an evite invite, please respond with how many you plan to bring, so we can have enough snacks… you never want to run out of snacks.
By now you should have been contacted to confirm the details of your booth. We have over 60 Makers and are expecting 3,000 – 4,000 attendees this year, so it’s going to be an exciting year! You all are an eclectic, sassy, exciting bunch and we are so happy to have you join us.
For those who have not yet experienced a Maker Faire, you’re in for a treat as attendees will be engaging with you in a brilliant, wonderful, enlightening way, asking questions of all kinds, especially the kiddos. It’s a great way to get immediate feedback on something new you may be introducing, or your existing products…feedback that may help you improve your product or project. So, get ready to have some fun showing budding Makers what you do, networking with like-minded folks and making new connections!
Welcome to the BMMF! #MakerFaire #Boulder #wheeeehashtags
UPDATE AS OF WED the 28th:
WILL CALL for exhibitor wrist bands
This is awesome, fyi. We will be able to keep wrist bands at WILL CALL for your booth staff/volunteers. Your team will just need the name of your booth/company to get a wristband for the event. If you would like to hold onto all of your wristbands, that’s totally alright, this is just an option for you. Once the wristband allotment in your folder (I actually think it might be an envelope, honestly, but… semantics) is gone, any additional Makers arriving will need to produce a paper ticket or purchase a ticket at the front gate when the show is open. We are not responsible for managing the names of who picks up wristbands for your booth. We are only managing to the number of wrist bands you have been allotted. You are welcome to purchase additional wristbands to keep in your Will Call folder – you can use Maker20 to receive 20% off of your additional tickets and are able to add more at any time during the event.
Special Event Permit
I screwed this up. First, that link is wrong, thank you to everyone who diligently read their packet and followed the directions. Second, we actually DO NOT need Special Event permit applications from you, unless you’ve been contact by Jeff Scott regarding this. And finally, sorry for the confusion, my bad.
Pipe and Drape
Pipe and drape (in black) will be put between booths, however will not be placed on booths next to walls and will not surround booths that can be viewed from both/multiple sides.
Alright dudes, we’re going to keep this train rolling. Let me know what you need and I’ll see you on Friday and then we’ll spend a long, glorious weekend together in the Colorado sun… making things, poking at things, taking pictures of those things, learning, laughing, and loving. Alright, I’m done now.
